Beautiful! Some day soon (months?), my garden will be lush instead just emerging.

Oh wow... and some of them bloom all year??!! (Picture me turning green with zonal envy... lol.)

You have a lot blooming! I really had to stretch to get beyond "crocuses" in my garden. Thanks for participating again. I'm also looking forward to April, and more blooms!

Spring has certainly hit with a bang...although there is no guarantee we won't still have weeks of rain (which we need!) The things that bloom most of the year are the bush mallow, pansies (if they get enough shade in the summer), nemesia, scabiosa and the solanum. We all have our zonal advantages...I've seen things bloom elsewhere in big, glorious bursts where ours might be more of a succession thing...and anything that needs dormancy is impossible here. I'm looking forward to the midwest surge soon!

Heh...I agree with Kim-I have "zonal envy" too. It's the only green in these parts so far!

Leslie, you have such a wonderful variety! There is something startling about seeing certain flowers blooming at the same time... if we saw this at a big Flower & Garden Show we'd be sure there had been horticultural tweaking to get such overlaps.

Your garden is just gorgeous.

Annie...I can't say we would have this combination every year...for instance, the tulbaghia got knocked back by the frost and is just coming back...I think it would usually be done by now. And the succulents and potato vine seem early...so far the spring/end of winter have been sunny and mild as opposed to our often rainy and cloudy. But another storm is heading our way with cooler weather...we'll have to see what it brings!
