How nice that your wistaria is still putting out some blooms.

I read on other blogs about 4 o''clocks but I did not know which plant that was. So thanks for the pic of yours, because now I know! ;-)

BTW my blooms are up too.Yolanda Elizabet Heuzenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02506031220151023088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30849155.post-28318753739647122912007-09-16T13:33:00.000-07:002007-09-16T13:33:00.000-07:00Annie...I have two solanums about 15 feet apart......Annie...I have two solanums about 15 feet apart...and the one that gets about half as much sun rarely blooms and is on the soon to be gone list! I think it does need about 8 hours of sun here.
Shirl...the wisteria begins blooming about April depending on the weather and I pick the seed pods off to keep it blooming lightly all summer. It's never like the initial bloom but I actually like it growingagardenindavishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15959600840504166899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30849155.post-66236835915272833062007-09-16T13:00:00.000-07:002007-09-16T13:00:00.000-07:00Hi there, LeslieI have been late to post for GBBD ...Hi there, Leslie

I have been late to post for GBBD but I am now enjoying looking through the gardens from the last up! You have quite a list of plants and one or two that I have in my Scottish garden. Nepeta Walker's Low I love and it’s great for the butterflies and bees! I pruned mine hard back a few weeks ago and now I am being rewarded with a second flush of flowers :-)

I Shirleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12956905954971466579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30849155.post-87893037659514960022007-09-16T10:42:00.000-07:002007-09-16T10:42:00.000-07:00Nice assortment, Leslie, and you sure have a lot i...Nice assortment, Leslie, and you sure have a lot in bloom at once!

We have some plants in common but you're more successful - my Solanum is a total non-bloomer. Maybe it's in too much shade or something?

That wisteria is still blooming!? Seeing what plants do in different climates is one of the things I love about GBBD.

Annie at the Transplantable RoseAnnie in Austinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14662139490401110432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30849155.post-20254080444869328122007-09-16T08:12:00.000-07:002007-09-16T08:12:00.000-07:00Sue...I didn't have a photo of them on my GBBD pos...Sue...I didn't have a photo of them on my GBBD post but have put one on a new post...I'm not sure what photo was confusing!
Carol...I wouldn't miss GBBD...I love a garden party!growingagardenindavishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15959600840504166899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30849155.post-24846119828071591702007-09-16T04:30:00.000-07:002007-09-16T04:30:00.000-07:00Good idea to always have a few plants in mind that...Good idea to always have a few plants in mind that you "need" in case you go to a nursery.

Lots going on in your Davis garden, as always. They're quite different from the plant I call a four o'clock (Mirabilis Jalapa, which also blooms at this time - I posted a photo for GBD on my blog too. Wonder if they're different varieties?Sue Swifthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16053188212601918182noreply@blogger.com
